We were lucky to have a hot September Sunday to celebrate the babies' birthday. 84 degrees and sunny. It was fantastic. The only bummer to being so hot was I got the babies these awesome long sleeve shirts with their names on them and they were off 5 minutes into the party. They were stripped down to onesies. Small price to pay for having beautiful weather.
A big thank you to all who helped by cooking and setting up and holding babies. A special thank you to Pete, Tracey, and Cathy for coming early to set up and get us ready. We couldn't have done it without you guys!
Here are some pictures of the party.

Our cool birthday decorations. Thanks Caleb and Logan for putting them up!
I got the bouncy with the slide because it was supposed to be a birthday cake. But a castle showed up. Oh well.

In other news, Danny is now climbing up on EVERYTHING, and is cruising along furniture. Sometimes with only one hand. And he is opening cabinets. Yikes! And he's perfected his crawl. He's hurrying across the floor. He's also totally mastered the find my binkie and put it in my pie hole. This is the greatest development yet as he is the most binkie dependent baby. That is his #1 soother. So all you NICU nurses that put it in his mouth 400 times a shift, this one's for you!
Sammy is changing it up. He is the king of the army crawl. He moves faster than the other 2, especially when racing to a favorite toy. But the last few days, he is getting up on his hands and knees and rocking instead of belly crawling. Maybe he's decided he's done being on the floor. He is our only baby successfully feeding himself...go Sammy! And he continues to thoroughly enjoy the bouncy, as well as everything else he encounters. Happiest. Kid. Ever.
Elsie is standing, standing, standing. She isn't curious to explore and climb up on everything yet, but wants to stand as soon as an adult is near her and can hold her hand. She will stand for 30 minutes. Just being happy standing. She has also gotten better form on her crawl and is becoming very efficient. She is getting better interacting with the boys. I guess she has realized they are here to stay so she might as well make the best of it.
Here are some other pics and videos from this week.

Danny
Hmmm, what's in here?
It's hard to get any pics of him now because all he wants to do is climb up Mommy and slobber me with wet kisses. I'll take it!

She's singing. Loudly.
Very. Loudly.
Love her faces. SO much expression.
I think she knows she was worth the wait.
