Well this has been a busy week! Danny decided last Wednesday to roll over on his own, from back to front. This apparently sparked a fire in Elsie's butt, as she no longer wants to sit in the swing or the bounce chair and will fuss until I put her on the floor. Once on the floor, she repeatedly throws her leg over and then jerks her head to the side to roll. She gets enraged if she doesn't do it on the first try, and will keep practicing until she gets onto her belly. She is so determined it is hysterical. Those boys aren't going to do anything better than her...not sure where she gets that from ;)
Since Sammy doesn't like his being on his belly, he isn't very interested in rolling back to front, but only took 2 minutes to figure out how to roll front to back when we did tummy time. He is content laying on his back fidgeting his feet for hours. So, Danny and Elsie are rolling in both directions and Sammy in one. Sadly, this is not easy to catch on video, but I managed to get Elsie. I hope to get all 3 by next week's update. I actually held the update till today trying to catch them all, but it seems every time they see my phone they get distracted from the job at hand.
Sammy had another eye appointment on Friday and everything is looking good. Doctor said at this stage it looks like most of the vessels have developed and he only sees a slight nearsighted impairment. He told me to bring them outside 14 hours a week to help curb this. So we go for walks and hang outside on a blanket whenever we can.
Danny's new favorite thing is blowing raspberries. Mommy's new favorite thing is listening to Danny blow raspberries. See the video below.
Also happy to report that we removed the wedges from their beds and the tucker slings that hold them in place in their cribs. Now they can move as they please in the crib. It's like actual babies!
Early Intervention comes every Monday, and the OT is so pleased of how quickly the babies are progressing. Happy to report they are meeting all 4 month milestones (their corrected age).
Lastly, some good friends have brought us another year's worth of clothes...Bekki with boy stuff and Leigh with girl stuff. You guys are the coolest. We greatly appreciate it!
This week's pics are group, Sammy, Elsie, Danny and then videos.

These last 2 are great. In the first video, this is Elsie all fired up because she didn't roll over the very first time she tried. The second is her actually rolling over.
Hooray for rolling! Zoe would finally get onto her belly THEN she would start to cry because she hated being on her belly. It was so great to see you and the kids last week! Give you-know-who kisses from me :-) xoxoxo
