Buy One Get Two Free!: Growing like weeds!

Babies went for their appointment at the follow up clinic this week. Danny was 14 lbs even, Sammy was 13 lbs 2 oz and Elsie was 12 lbs 1 oz. This puts Elsie in the 50th percentile in the girl chart, and Danny in the 50th percentile and Sammy in the 20th for the boys. Hard to believe Sammy is in the 20th percentile with rolls on his thighs and those chubby cheeks. The boys officially moved into 3-6 months clothes this week. They are growing like weeds!

It was also exciting to hear the doctors say they feel the babies are hitting all the milestones for 3 and 1/2 month olds (their corrected age)! yaaa! They want Sammy to work on tummy time a little more, and want Danny to have some massage/PT to help with relaxation because he gets overwhelmed easily. These are all minor in the grand scheme of things.

Had a nice week hanging outside on the nice days and letting lots of fresh air into the house. The kiddos are spending a lot of time on a blanket interacting with each other and talking their triplet language. It's really great we are finally able to do this. The first 10 weeks they were in separate rooms. Then another 10 weeks still in the hospital with wires that didn't allow for group play. Then the severe reflux meant never putting them on their backs once they got home. Even though they would sit next to each other in bouncy chairs, it's a whole new kind of interaction when they can touch and talk side by side. I've also noticed a big uptick in their connection with each other because of this. Now when someone cries or is hurt the others immediately react. It's pretty amazing.

We are spending a little time each day in the bumbo practicing our sitting skills, floor time moving our arms and feet and starting to roll to our sides, on the play mat reaching and grabbing toys, and belly time. Add in singing and reading books, Mommy pumping and exercising and our day is chock full!
