The day started off a little rough because Danny cried most of the night, so Miguel and I were working off minimal rest and maximum aggravation. I'm a little fearful we are entering the teething stage. So far we've got lots of drool, bubbles, hands to the mouth, slightly elevated temps, and whiny fussiness. I kept shrugging it off until Early Intervention mentioned it. Sigh. Time to put my game face on.
Luckily the day improved quickly when Danny woke up on the right side of the bed, we did some chores, and spent some time outside on the deck with all the babies. Miguel spent a chunk of the day adding a second bird feeder to the front of the house. We've got a Robin's nest with three blue eggs (I've been joking she is a triplet mom too!) and I'm excited to report Baby A and Baby B have hatched! Just waiting for Baby C to make her debut. I told Miguel I wanted her to be able to eat in sight of her nest and Miguel was on the job. Here are some pics...
OK, back to babies. Feeds are going great. I'm happy to report that all babies are med free! This already shaves 20 minutes off a feed easily. Elsie rarely vomits now, and Danny's spits can be contained to the bib if you are a skillful burper.
All 3 love swing time and floor play. They happily swing away while cooing at the mobile as it spins. They are also getting stronger and roll to their side. Danny is so determined to figure out how to get his porky bum to turn over all the way. It won't be long now.
Another fan favorite is singing. Start singing and they start laughing and smiling. Which is amazing because I am a horrible singer. There is a reason I play instruments and I am not in the choir. Lucky for me children's songs are pretty much 1 octave and can be pulled off by almost anyone.
Elsie is considering sucking her thumb. She's tried it a few times, but gagged herself twice and is now a little hesitant. Updates to follow :)
This week's pics go group, Sammy, Danny, Elsie, videos. Enjoy!
