Tripparazzi

Everywhere we go it's a spectacle.  It's fascinating how fascinated people are with triplets.  Here's how it usually goes:

Are those triplets?
yes.  (Nope. I'm just a nanny that watches 3 babies that are exactly the same age. )
What are they?
2 Boys and a girl.
Are they identical?  (I shit you not)
No.  Boys and girls can't be identical.  (this is 7th grade science I'm pretty sure)
Oh.  Did you know you were having triplets?
You know technology is pretty advanced these days, so yes.
Are they natural?
Nope they are aliens. What makes a baby natural or unnatural?
Do triplets run in your family?
No. (Statistical odds will tell you they don't run in anyone's family. C'mon people)
You must have your hands full!
We do.
Well GOD BLESS YOU (usually in a dramatic tone)

To which I always reply.....GOD HAS blessed me (in an even more emphasized tone)

So I brought the babies to the doctors, then we went by Miguel's work so everyone could meet them.  Then it was off to Ikea to walk around and get out of the house :)

Elsie, Sammy, Danny

We all had some shots at the doctors, and here's how it went...

Elsie wide awake after her shot waiting for her brothers

Sammy wasn't bothered much, fell right back asleep...

And then there's Danny...lol...30 minutes of full blown tears and the loudest cries you've ever heard.

We are definitely moving into a more expressive phase.  Here are some good faces from Elsie and Sammy.  Danny still only has 2 faces...sleeping and screaming :)

Here are some of us just hanging out at home...

Emmie likes to babysit/lay on the babies' blankets on the floor :)

This is Danny in the sling.  Always so happy lol.

Auntie Sheri spending the night helping us eat at 3am!

Thank you Peg Foley for these BEAUTIFUL bibs!  Love them!

Here is a video of Danny and Elsie at 22 weeks.

  1. I can't believe people ask you if they are "natural." That's ridiculous and so rude. I like your response though, it adds just the right amount of shame :) I'm coming to visit soon--it feels like someone has been sick over here all winter, one person gets it then it takes two weeks to move through the family, then it starts all over again with something new. Zoe has had three ear infections since December :(
