6 Months!

Holy moly! 6 months already!

Their corrected age is now 10 weeks so we are reaching and grabbing things that are close to us, smiling and laughing, as well as lots of cooing.  Also moving our heads to follow people and sounds instead of just tracking with our eyes.  The Early Intervention team is very happy we are progressing like normal term infants would.

Feeds are getting a little easier. Danny's reflux has lessened and now he just does a bunch of little spits after each meal, which are manageable with bib changes instead of full outfit changes (for him, and me, and wash the carpet, and the couch, etc).  Elsie is still the latter and you must prepare yourself with an array of clean up items before you sit down to feed her. No seriously,  it's like wearing a hazmat suit... I don't understand how she can drink 3 ounces but launch 57 back out across the room at you.  Sammy continues his stellar run of eat an entire bottle, burp once, and fall asleep. That kid could wear the same outfit 5 days in a row and it would still be clean.

This week we visited Miguel's parents down the cape, and the Rebello's in Berkley. The babies enjoy the car, and are calm and comfortable out in public thankfully.  I'm hoping they follow the same model as training a dog in the sense that early socialization will lead to good behavior :)

We had our 6 month checkup today. All the babies are weighing in at 11 pounds and change.

Pictures are grouped by baby, Sammy, Elsie,  then Danny.  I put the group pictures first and videos last.

  1. Had to laugh at the sock comment. I must put Zoe's socks back on about 10 times a day--all day long she pulls them off and I put them back on. Shoes help, but she has figured out how velcro works.
