12 WEEKS!

Hey Hey Hey!  Look at this clean face!!!

Elsie says sianara to oxygen and her nasal cannula!  Woot Woot! This means she has satisfied requirement #2 to go home: Breathing!

She is weighing in at 5 lbs 7 oz (wow!) and doing great breathing room air.  She also got her first tubby today, which she loved! Here is a video:

Here are some other Elsie pics from this week:

Sammy's eye exam on Friday showed continuing progression of ROP.   The eye specialist consulted with the chief of Pediatric Opthamology and the chief decided she will come on Monday to do his next exam. We will most likely talk about treatment options after the exam. Keeping positive thoughts until then.

Sammy is weighing in at a whooping 5lbs 12oz!  Here are some pics:

Danny is doing good, he is weighing in at 5lbs 5oz. He is the most awake and alert baby out of the 3, and he is very vocal.  He is also super expressive, always making faces.  And he is the most needy of the 3, he wants to be held all the time.  He will cry (loudly) and you check for spit up or dirty diaper, then you pick him up to try burping in case it's gas, and he sighs and snuggles in and stops crying. When he is being held with his siblings, he constantly wiggles over until he has crowded them in snuggles.

And for the grand finale, I got to hold all 3 babies!!!  It was awesome.  At first all 3 had their own space.  Then once Danny realized Elsie was there he started leaning and reaching toward her.  Then Sammy started to cry because he was all alone, and so he started leaning on Danny who was leaning on Elsie.  Elsie just sat there the whole time, petting Danny's head and sleeping.  Here are a bunch of pics :)

  1. So darn cute! I love hearing little baby squeaky noises! And I think it's so funny how Elsie is just relaxing through her tubby like she's the Queen of the NICU.
