Learning new things

The kids are in a neat stage right now where they are learning new things everyday.  They are like little sponges sucking up new words, actions, and ideas.  They love to imitate, so many of our games are making new noises or faces at each other.  They are blowing kisses, waving hello/goodbye, dancing, clapping, playing peek-a-boo.  We are practicing the itsy bitsy spider, and the head, shoulders, knees and toes songs, and they are starting to point to what they are recognizing.  They are also really fascinated with toys that require putting things in, shape matching, and association.

Walking is getting steadier.  I've gone out and let them walk beside me.  It's not speedy, but they manage to stay on their feet 90% of the time. Hoping soon they can walk out to the car and climb in.  We just installed new car seats (goodbye infant carriers!) and we've put together the wagon, so the babies are cruising in style wherever they go.

Feeding is hit or miss lately.  Most of our meals consist of bite size finger foods they can pick up and eat.  However, there are still some menu items that should be served on a spoon. They really want to exclusively feed themselves, and are starting to shun when you try to spoon feed them even 1 small portion.  Not sure they are quite ready to feed themselves with utensils, which is making our food choices a little limited for the time being.  They also are changing their tastes a little, refusing some foods they were crazy about last month, and trying some foods they were previously shunning.  Still trying to expose them to a variety of foods everyday.

Emotionally the kids are really advancing.  They are showing tons of new emotions, ranging on a toddler drama scale from 1 - 3,000.  Sometimes the smallest thing will trigger a flop to the floor, arching of the back, kicking of the feet and crying.  Other times they are caught scheming and causing a ruckus, and they giggle at you when they see you watching.  You really never know what to expect.

This is the face when Danny puts 6 bites of food in his mouth at once.  He literally has to put his fingers in front of his mouth to hold the food in.

Sammy loves laundry

This is Miguel at the same age as our kiddos

it's hard to get all 3 in one pic with no blur

Her shirt says wild at heart.  This couldn't be more true.

And she is teaching Sammy how to throw caution to the wind as well.  Glad he looks terrified.

We finally got to use our wagon.  They love it!

He is so peaceful when he's sleeping. I love watching them sleep.

Emmie likes their low to the ground accessibility in the wagon versus the stroller.

Sometimes I can't even with Elsie's faces.

My snuggler.  Loves to cuddle.
