We spent the day at Auntie Cathy's house, and the babies used their travel high chairs for the first time. They did great! Danny liked that he could reach over to Elsie's tray and take her food too! The high chairs we have at home he can't reach her tray so this was very exciting for him. The babies ate a nice turkey dinner with all the sides. Then everyone but Elsie decided to nap, so Uncle Jim cuddled with her till she fell asleep. Lucky girl.
It's no surprise that we are thankful for these 3 blessings. But there are other things to be thankful for as well:
I am thankful for my wonderful husband. I don't say it enough, but I got a keeper. He's always helpful, and is the best father I could have asked for. This has been a stressful, challenging year with micropreemie triplets, and he has really stepped up his game for them and for me. Love that guy.
I am thankful for all the family and friends that have helped out in so many ways this year. Between helping us with homemade dinners when we were in the hospital, to coming to visit to help with feeds, to dropping off bags of clothes for the kiddos, or just giving me a little company, it did not go unnoticed. These acts of kindness were appreciated more than you can ever imagine.
I am thankful for having the opportunity to take time off of school to be the best mom I can be. Saving and preparing before we started our family has really helped, and the dog grooming business is a perfect part time gig that allows me to have the best of both worlds. I like to work, but I know the importance of raising three 24 weekers and the demands that come from such a tough start. They have a lot of catching up to do, and I'm so fortunate to be able to be home and working with them every day to facilitate this.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving full of blessings!
Here are some pics of our fantastic day :)
