A Month of Reflection

As the babies approach a year, I can't help but think of all that's happened in the span of a year.  I often go back and peruse the early posts, and it reminds me how very lucky we are to be here. That being said, I thought I might recreate some early pics. Now some of these are impossible since we were in the NICU, but they have the same theme.

Here is a picture of Elsie on Day 5 with our Wedding bands on her wrist.  They slid right on like bangle bracelets.

Here is Elsie tonight holding and playing with our wedding bands

Here is Danny on day 9 laying with the Threads of Love doll the volunteers gave us.  Look at his hand in comparison to the doll...

Here is Danny tonight playing with it

Here is Mommy holding Sammy for the first time on day 14

Here I am holding him tonight

This week I will try to look back and get some more dramatic transformations. It's just unbelievable how far we've come.  Looking forward to another great year with them.

Back to this week's happenings.  Elsie finally caved and decided sitting isn't so bad.  She has been going from the crawl position to the sit position quite a bit.  Still uses one arm as a prop, she won't completely let go and be hands free.  Danny stood himself up.  We were playing on the floor and he crawled over to Miguel, grabbed hold and walked his way up.  Sammy now both sits unassisted for lengthy periods of time and will 'speed crawl' to beat a sibling to a favorite toy.  Game on babies.  Game on.

We visited the cape this weekend to see Vova and Vovo.  We went for a walk around their neighborhood and the babies tried out their new sunglasses. Styling.

Mommy organized all of Elsie's clothes now that the boys are done.  We are very thankful of all the clothes handed down to us.  We are chock full through 2T.  Check these pics out
Here are the current clothes for 6 months

Elsie's 6-9 Months

The boys 6-12 fill all the drawers

This closet has shelves that are as deep as a large tote.  Here the boys have one shelf for 12 mo and one for 18 mo

A highchair box almost full of 2T

Holy Moly that's a lot of clothes.  Thanks again to Bekki, Linda, Charlene, and Leigh for all the gorgeous stuff!

We also went to a cookout at the Alves' on Sunday.  Had a great time catching up with friends.  We visited The Tsika's and played with our cousins this weekend too! We spent Labor Day home, resting up after our busy week.

Enjoy the pics and videos!
