Crawling away!

Babies are really moving now!  They all have some sort of crawl going on.  Danny has a good army crawl, moving fast and furious across the living room.  Elsie has discovered that lunging forward when on her hands and knees rocking will get her where she wants to go.  And Sammy the swimmer has now started using his arms to pull him along as his feet kick and whirl in the air behind him.  There's a video below.

We had a pediatrician appointment on Friday.  Babies are plumping up.  Danny is 17 lbs 6 oz, Sammy is 16 lbs 2 oz, and Elsie is 14 lbs 11oz.  All 3 babies are now out of the corrected weight curve and are on the weight curve for 10 month olds.  Danny is in the 7th percentile and Sammy and Elsie are in the 1st percentile, but it's a start to catching up!

What was really cool is their height difference.  When the babies were born, they were between 9 3/4 inches and 11 3/8 inches.  Smaller than a ruler.  Now the babies are between 25 and 28 inches.  WOW.  They used to sleep under my shirt, and I remember their head would rest on my chest and their little feet would not even reach my belly button.  Now when they rest their head on my shoulder, their feet have to be pushed to the side if I try to sit down.  AWESOME.

The doctor also gave us the OK for solid foods and meats.  So we added some brown rice to their veggies.  Day 1 -  Sammy and Elsie ate tons, not even seeming to notice it wasn't pureed.  Danny kept gagging and needing a finger sweep.   Day 2 - Danny ate like a beast and Elsie wasn't that interested.  Sammy took a spoonful, ate the veggies and spit out the rice.  Repeat for the next 20 spoonfuls.  Way to be consistent babies.  We'll see how tomorrow goes.

We had lots of visiting time this week.  Heidi and Michael came and played with them Saturday morning.  We visited the Rego family on Friday and had lots of fun with Dawn, Carissa and Jared.  We went for our weekly walk around Fort Rodman with Amy, Jack and Abby.  We visited the Barbers Sunday afternoon.  Erin came and snuggled the munchkins. And we had a blast at the Schumacher family cookout last weekend.  What a week!

Finally got a pic of Elsie's stink face.  It's great.  This week's pics go group, Danny, Elsie, Sammy, videos.  Enjoy!

These pictures don't really do it justice, but last week I organized all the boys clothes.  The following two pics are their 6-9 clothes and their 12 month clothes.  Thank you again to everyone who gave us clothes, we are so blessed!
