10 months!

I'm a few days behind, but the kids celebrated 10 months on Monday!  I see the definite change this month, they are getting longer and filling in well (Danny a little too well).  I spent about 12 hours this week clearing out all the boys 3-6 month clothes and bringing in their 6-9 months.  Elsie gets another week or 2 before she is ready.  But it seriously went from pj's that fit fine on Thursday to holy crap I need to find the next size because their toes don't fit in these Monday.  It happens that fast.  The amount of clothes we have is awesome, and I thank everyone again that gave us hand-me-downs because we have not needed to buy ANY clothes for any babies yet.  Thank you!  This has really been a lifesaver this year.  I am passing on our clothes to new family members that are expecting soon and  donating to families in need.

Looking forward to next week's doctor appointment to see their weights.  Danny is a beast.  In the last week his thighs have doubled in size.  He is definitely going through a growth spurt.  He has been waking at 3 or 4 am hungry as ever, and will not go back down until he has a bottle.  I don't want to make this a pattern, but he is definitely hungry so I'm going with it right now.  The only problem is he wakes sister christian in the next crib, and she is all about singing and talking and hanging out at 3 am once she is awake.  So my new routine is when he wakes hungry, I prepare 2 bottles.  Danny gets one, Elsie gets one, and I wake Sammy and nurse him.  It's good for everyone, 30 minutes we are back to sleep, and they sleep until 8:30, and I don't have to pump.  I wouldn't normally wake a baby to nurse, but if not it is tweedle dum and tweedle dee up at 3, and sammy up at 6.  I'd never sleep.  Sammy is so cooperative too, he's such an easy going boy.

Teething is in full effect.  Sammy has 2 teeth now.  His cheeks are always rosy, he's fussy which is not normal, and wants to eat everything.  Elsie is close, you can see the white under the gums.  And she has a constant string of drool hanging from her mouth.  She also is rubbing her fingers along her gums whenever she has a free hand.

Bottle holding is getting better.  They have suddenly become independent and want to feed themselves.  Except that an 8 oz bottle is a little heavy for them.  So I prop some blankets and let them have at it.  They are eating 1-2 oz more per feed when they do it themselves.  More power to you. :)

All 3 babies are now sitting up.  Danny rocks it, probably due to those monstrous thighs he has to balance himself.  Sammy surprised all of us when Early Intervention was here last week and showed us he can sit unassisted as well for about 30 seconds.  Sister suffragette hates sitting.  End of story.  If you make her sit she will complain the whole 10 seconds she does it, and then flop forward to crawl.  She wants to do nothing but stand up.

We have now added yogurt to our fruit in the morning, and are still trying lots of new veggies.  Next week I think we will get the ok to try finger foods!  So exciting!

Also want to add, the blog has now had over 50,000 views. WOW.

Here are some pics, enjoy!
