11 months!

Babies will be 11 months tomorrow.  Yowsers!

Babies are perfecting their multi-rollovers, belly scooting, and army crawls. They want to be on the floor all the time investigating. Now it's a party.

Danny learned how to sit himself up on his own and is fascinated by this new skill. He just practices it over and over. Once he's sitting he keeps lifting his hands up and wobbling. After a few face plants he even figured out how to ease his way down to laying on his back, or leaning forward into a crawl. Lucky for me this means he was doing less crawling this week!

Elsie now has a mean belly scoot. She gets up on all fours and then launches herself forward onto her belly. She extends her hands forward and pulls her body with her, then she scoots her knees up again underneath her and launches forward again. She does this so quick now in seconds she is on the other side of the room. She mostly does this to beat the boys to a toy she wants first.  She still is completely uninterested in sitting.

Sammy isn't feeling well this week so he's been doing a lot of snuggling and resting.  He says he'll practice his skills next week.

We tried our first pancake this week!  Mommy made apple pancakes and we practiced picking up our food and putting it in our mouths.  Danny still prefers to be hand fed, and often sits there making noise with his mouth open until you do.  We are also getting chunkier with our fruit and veggie pieces.  Early Intervention said our chewing skills are phenomonal!

Busy week. We went to Brandeis and saw Daddy's old stomping grounds and met some of his friends.  We got lots of attention at Ethan and Elana's birthday party on Saturday.  Auntie Tracey came over and took some pictures of us so Mommy could order our 1st birthday invites (can you believe it?!?).  Had our follow up appointment with the NICU.  They are happy at how quickly the babies are closing the gap from corrected age of 7 months to their chronological age of 11 months.  Awesome.  Oh yea and we got our passport photos taken so we can go to St. Maarten in January.  Woot Woot!

Next month's blog posts are going to all be a recap of our year.  I truly savor every second I am with them because I realize how different this story could have been written.  I think it's good to reflect on where we've been and how far we've come.

Hanging out at Brandeis

15 pictures.  Only one where they are all looking at me. sigh.

And so this happened this week.  Standing?  Stop it!
Elsie is like 'Anything you can do I can do better!'
Danny always gravitates to where she is playing
Yay!
If this isn't Miguel's face, I don't know what is.  So serious.
