4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!  

So much for a sunny cookout day!  No thanks to Hurricane Arthur for coming in and flooding us out.  We managed to make it out to Erin's Law School graduation party for a little bit in the rain, but came home and settled in for the night.

We did have a nice weekend, and enjoyed time at the Cape with Miguel's parents, as well as the annual McConnell gathering at Joe and Sue's.

Danny has his surgery for a lipoma on his back and his botched circumcision this Thursday.  Trying not to think about it too much, so scary for him to go under anesthesia.  I will post an update on Thursday once he is out.  

Weighed the babies today.  Danny is 16 1/2 lbs.   Sammy is 15 1/4 lbs.  Elsie is 14 lbs even.  They are looking very long and filled in recently.  Continuing to make the transition from infant to toddler.  Make it stop!!!  Enjoying every minute with them.  OK not every minute as they fuss and scream and do baby things that aren't always enjoyable.  

This week we added squash and bananas to our foods.  So far all foods have been a success.  Elsie went bananas over bananas, bouncing in her bumbo and leaning so far to the side to try to intercept Danny's spoonfuls.  They are really loving solid foods.  They are getting less and less interested in their bottle of milk afterward.

She doesn't actually like to crawl all the way out, just scoot down till she can touch and bounce around.  She did this for easily 15 minutes today.
