So we made the transition. We expected the worst and hoped for the best. I can honestly say this was the one big hurdle I was most anxious about. Babies walking, going from bottles to sippy cups, potty training, etc, I was pumped and ready. Not so much for this, as it literally kept me up at night. Before the transition we were sleeping 8pm to 8am, and taking a monster nap from 1:30 - 4:30. I was panicking naps were going to disappear, my kids would lose hours of sleep and become little terrors. Well I was right, for about 4 days. The days were long and the nights even longer. Miguel and I tried the first day to stay in the room for nap and it was a disaster. They loved this idea and were giggling and enjoying the company, and got NO nap. That night we stayed in the room again to help them settle and luckily because they were exhausted passed out quickly. The second day I suggested letting them figure it out at nap. Put them in the room and shut the door. They played for over an hour, Sammy and Elsie laid down and took an hour nap, Danny nothing. Night 2 was hell. Danny passed right out, but Elsie and Sammy were rested enough to be obnoxious. We had to remove one at a time from the room and walk and soothe them to sleep, which wrapped up after 10:30 pm. Day 3 was Elsie's turn for no nap, and the night we decided to let them figure it out on their own as well and everyone was down by 9pm. Not bad. Then day 4 they magically started returning to their old schedule. The fun wore off and by the end of the week we were back to a good nap and sleeping through the night. We did lose almost an hour at night, but they are getting older so I'll take it. So I'm super happy the transition went smoothly.

The toddler beds ready to go!
Sam's face when he gets caught climbing out
The first night, Sammy went and crawled into Elsie's bed to snuggle. She really was not interested, but tolerated it.
He kept getting closer and closer until he was laying on her belly. The next morning at breakfast, I asked Elsie about it:
Me: So Sammy snuggled you in bed last night?
Elsie: Ya (very nonchalant in a confirming way)
Me: That was nice of you to let Sammy snuggle you
Elsie: YEP. (Think 2 yo sarcasm, like 'ya it was')
So I think the jury is still out on if she liked it.
This is Sam in Elsie's bed during Day 2 no nap. He just stood and stared out the window for hours
This is how I found the room the morning of Day 3. I guess they decided to get up and get their clothes out.
The second night Sam decided to climb in and snuggle Danny. This is Danny with one arm over his head and the other hand on Sammy's leg because Sammy kept moving it until he was touching Danny.
This is Sammy on the left and Danny on the right in Danny's bed night 2.
This is video of the 2nd day of no napping
So Elsie has been released from Early Intervention. All 3 babies got tested this month, Danny is so close, only about a month behind his corrected age. Sammy is still testing pretty far behind in language. I feel that this is because Danny and Elsie are much more competitive so they are always blurting out words, and Sammy just goes with the flow, like 'ya, what they said'. Nobody's worried, just giving Sam a little push to find his own way. The big words this month are colors, shapes, and animals. The kids like to point out these things in books or in the car. They say the animal name followed by the sound that animal makes. It's fun, yet repetitive. Like most flowers are yellow right now as daffodils are in bloom. So driving in the car I hear 'Mommy! Flower! Yellow!' like 5 billion times.
Elsie's 2 favorite words this month are Yep and Oh C'mon. And she speaks them like a teenager. Some of the videos on this post you hear her say Yep. I have yet to catch the Oh C'mon comment on video though. She generally says it when she is frustrated. Like the other day she went to put her pants on and put both legs into the same leg hole. She looked down at the pants and went 'Oh C'mon!' Yep. We're in trouble with this one.
Here are some pics and videos!

Did you ever experience something like you want to travel but cannot do that due to the worry about where and how your baby will sleep while traveling? This is the common problem for the parents who have infants or rising toddlers. Just for this reason, most of the parents completely change their lifestyle and stop traveling outside when they’re blessed with children. But, this is not an expected incident for anybody. Instead, they deserve to enjoy every moment of their time with the newborn babies or toddlers. Taking help from a portable bed like Regalo My Cot Portable Toddler Bed can be a brilliant solution in this regard.
