Danny fell and smacked his forehead on the corner of the hutch to round out week 1. He was playing and running full speed, tripped and smashed right into it. It was a bleeder. Needed 2 stitches in the end. And he played the sympathy card pointing and saying 'boo boo' all week.
Kids are coming out with new words every day. Danny likes to try to repeat the word you say, smiling as he imitates you. Sammy still jargon talks all day, having long conversations with himself and anyone else who will listen. Every 20th sound will be a clear word to keep you engaged. Elsie has her favorites which are 'no way' and 'nope'. I was excited she learned 'yea' this month because no way was getting old. She is our biggest reader and is now pointing and saying lots of words in the books.
This is the typical Elsie face. All business.

He loves to clean!
Always wants to show he is a big boy
I love this pic. Danny is usually the aggressor, and he looks mortified that Sammy tackled him.
Let's break up the puzzle. Fun game.
My big girl.
We left on Valentine's Day to head to Key Largo for our friends' wedding. We flew direct from Providence to Fort Lauderdale, and all in all the flight went well. Everyone slept for a while, and we never had to break out electronics to entertain. Bringing their car seats on board was fantastic. Buckle them in and it's just like a car ride.
On our way!
Grammie and Elsie are out!

He is so peaceful sleeping
The next 3 days were jam packed with wedding activities, and we had a blast spending time with family and friends. Kids did pretty well at the wedding venue, which was a beach with drop off rock walls into the ocean and no gates after dark. I'm calling success that we didn't lose any kids and no one fell in. Especially since we spent 3 days in a row there for several hours a day. Our condo was a bust, considering their only pool and their only playground were closed for renovation. Didn't leave us with a lot to do, so we drove around and found park playgrounds for the kids to burn off energy. On top of that, the weather was overcast and rained quite a bit, so not ideal for the kids.

Week 2 we headed to Orlando and our first visit to Disney. The weather was much nicer, sunny everyday but one. And the condo had a nice playground and a heated kid pool which was a bonus. We did Magic Kingdom, Sea World, Chef Mickey's character breakfast,a local petting zoo farm, and Animal Kingdom. The character breakfast was the biggest hit. The kids loved each one coming over to the table and touching them and taking pictures with them. Elsie was a blast, hugged them all and giggled the whole time. She is always so serious, it was awesome to see her emoting pure joy. Danny loved the rides (Dumbo, Small world, Dinoland), and Sammy loved things like the train ride, the boats, the monorail, and just observing everything being pushed in his stroller. Our plane ride home went pretty well also, a direct flight during nap time to help the cause. Sammy and Elsie got a good nap, Danny watched a movie until the last 3 minutes of the flight and finally closed his eyes as the plane landed.

Funderdome was a big hit!

Some of the most exciting news from this month is that Elsie is now potty trained. I wasn't sure how she would do on vacation, especially after she went in the airport and the automatic flush completely freaked her out. I was pretty lax about making her go on a public potty after that, and let her wear a pull up when we went to the parks. I was worried she may regress, but she went right back to going on the potty at night when we returned back to the condo. Now that we are back home, she is getting better everyday, making fewer trips to the potty and going right away when she sits down. Today after lunch she went and peed right away, I asked her if she was done and she said no and asked for the tablet. She sat there watching Bubble Guppies for 10 minutes while I cleaned up lunch and then she yelled 'I pooped!'. She is too much. Still not at a stage where she asks to go to the potty. But if I ask her, she will say yes or no. Thinking Sammy is next, hoping to fine tune Elsie first before starting baby 2.
And to end the month, Leap Day was another warm day and we spent most of it outside playing.
she's really trying to keep both feet on to pedal, but they don't quite reach
