So happy summer is here! The kids have been playing outside and 'working' in the yard all day. Danny collects all his tools and creates worksites all over the yard. This kid loves to work. I weeded gardens at my mothers, and he stood beside me pulling weeds for over an hour and a half. Grammie bought them some garden gloves and Danny is a pro at putting his work gloves on and getting down to business. Sammy has been helping Daddy in the yard using his tractor power wheels. It has a trailer attached and Sammy loves to help Daddy load up weeds and drive them over to the corner of the yard and dump them.
Kids are really swimming well now. We are in Grammie's pool a lot and at the beach as well. Sam can go no bubble and asks for me to take it off all the time. He loves to be underwater and spin around. Camping was great for this because the water wasn't too deep.
Since they were babies, I always say 'have a good sleep' when they are going to bed, and 'good morning' when they wake up. Well now the kids have a pretty big vocabulary, and they say morning, afternoon, and night time. Except for Danny, he says good morning. So if we are talking about going somewhere tomorrow, he'll say 'are we going in the good morning?' or if I'm snuggling Sammy before bed he'll say 'I'll snuggle you in the good morning mom'. It's so cute I can't correct him. I want him to think every morning is a good morning.
Elsie has been saying lately that she is afraid of the dark. I'm not sure if it is valid as she only says it when she isn't being snuggled. But she said it the other night while I was snuggling Danny, and Danny said 'Els, you can come sleep in my bed if you are scared.' and then he added 'you can too brother (and Sammy yelled 'ok!') , we can have a snuggle party in my bed'. This moment was especially heartwarming since it doesn't happen often. Being together 24 hours a day leads to lots of fighting, teasing, and all kinds of other malarchy. So to see a warm, sincere interaction where Danny was concerned about her and then immediately didn't want to leave Sammy out made my heart smile.
Another year of preschool in the books. They had some spring pictures taken at school and I just love this photographer. She always does group shots as well as individuals. Heirloom Photography. Check her out!

Here are some videos!

This is one of my favorite videos. The kids love this song, Meet me in the middle. Elsie belts is out. I had to take a secret video of it since she won't sing if she sees me recording, but the best parts are just after 1 min 35 sec, and the last 25 seconds. That's where she really lets it go!
She is really getting into singing songs, and learning the words. Here she is singing How far it goes in Moana
Danny loves Bruno Mars. He has since he was 2. Every song he sings, Danny says he likes. Danny loves to dance, and has lots of moves. Here he is dripping in Finesse.
Danny sees opportunity everywhere. After dancing he decides to build a chair tower. I love how he talks about 2 boys and 1 girl with the 3 chairs. And how she just continues making her necklaces as the commotion goes on around her.
The kids have learned to give you the I Love You fingers.
