Sammy's vocabulary is really coming through, he has always been my biggest jargon talker, but has been slow to develop clear words. This month he's had a big boost in speaking several clear words together and has a few key sentences like what is that, where is daddy, go potty, what happened. It is really great to see him catching up and getting a word in with his siblings.
Danny really enjoys getting out of the house as well because he is my mover and shaker. Loves to be outside doing things. I have to convince him to watch a tv show. He LOVES riding his bike, and can be easily occupied when we are out with a stick or a rock. We've been doing a lot of pool dates, and he is a little hot/cold sensitive, so if the water is not flat out warm, he doesn't like to go in. But that doesn't stop his fun, as he walks around the yard investigating and playing with nature.
Elsie and Sammy love the water, and the sand. We visited our cousin Diane at the campground and went to the beach and Elsie made sandcastles and played ankle deep with shovels and buckets for hours. Sammy swam the entire time. Danny did well with the sand, too. I was worried because he panics if he is he gets sand in his shoes...like stops dead in his tracks, sits down, and cries for help until you come over, take off his shoes and shake them out. When we hit the beach I took off his shoes and hoped for the best, and he didn't seem to mind the sand when barefoot. Another crisis averted. Beach days here we come!
Elsie has taken a liking to my makeup. I don't really wear any in the summer, but she remembers from the winter and likes to take my makeup bag and play makeup. Luckily she doesn't dive into the actual makeup as much as likes to use the brushes to pretend to paint her eyes and cheeks. After she has freshened up, she likes to play catch. She is learning to use two hands and keep her eye on the ball.
Her new phrase is 'me, too'. Anything you say to her is followed up by 'me, too'. Want to go to Grammie's pool? Yeah, me too. We have to put our shoes on to go outside. Me, too. She uses it correctly about 70% of the time. We're working on it.

Danny says I'll swim for a bit. Then said 'I'm cold' so I told him to go sit in the chair in the sun and he did. Wish I would have gotten a pic of that.
Sammy says the most words with books, and he likes to read them on the potty so that's where the videos are.
I love Danny on the swings. he says weeeeeee! over and over in pure toddler bliss.
